Transport - Maintaining the evidential chain of integrity when moving evidence from crime scene to an examination area is key in police investigations. Scenesafe products in this range are designed using appropriate continuity details and use quality assured tamper evident technology.

Forensic DNA Grade: All critical components used for the detection and collection of DNA material have been quality controlled by testing a representative sample and analysed for the presence of DNA. This process is carried out by ISO 17025 accredited forensic laboratories.


 

DNA Denatured: Components are treated with Ethylene Oxide (EtO) to denature any possible background DNA to a point where it cannot be amplified. Ethylene oxide is a gas that kills bacteria, mould and fungi.

 

ISO17025 Compliant: Components are validated by an ISO17025 accredited analytical forensic service provider.

 

Meets FFLM guidelines: Product follows the recommendations of the Forensic Science Committee of the Faculty of Forensic & Legal Medicine of the Royal College of Physicians. The FFLM is set up to develop and maintain the highest possible standards of competence and professional integrity in forensic and legal medicine.

 

Drug-free: All critical components have been batch quality tested by sampling a representative quantity for the presence of drugs and drug metabolites. This is undertaken using best technical methods of analysis.

 

Alcohol-free: All critical components have been batch quality tested by sampling a representative quantity for the presence of alcohols. This is undertaken using best technical methods of analysis.

 

Gunshot Residue (GSR) free: All critical components have been batch quality tested by sampling a representative quantity for the presence of gunshot residues and other particulates. This is undertaken using best technical methods of analysis.

 

Produced in accordance with PAS 377: Each kit is produced following the guidelines provided in the specification for consumables used in the collection, preservation and processing of material for forensic analysis guidelines (PAS 377).

 

Clean Room Manufactured: Each kit is manufactured in a ISO 14644 certified class 4 and class 5 clean rooms by staff trained in the production of kits used in the processing / collecting of DNA and other forensic samples. Our clean room protocols include full audit trail of components, environmental monitoring, PPE training, clean room cleaning and batch testing. All production staff DNA profiles are recorded and maintained for elimination purposes. Certification can be provided upon request.
